As an absolute lover of chinese food Hakkasan has to be if not my favorite one of my all time top restaurants, and my most recent trip did not disappoint. Having visited both restaurants now, while both made for amazing dinners out I would have to say the Hanway Place restaurant is my preffered of the two as the scale of it and the interior are pretty impressive. With one being underground and the other being concealed by a rather discreet little door, both give the rather fun sense of secrecy and seclusion once inside making a dinner out feel more like an experience than just a matter of eating.

If  Dim Sum isn't quite your thing then I would firmly recommend just popping in for a cocktail as the ones we had were all amazing. This coupled with the fun atmosphere and incredible food made for a great evening out! Anyway, they say a picture is worth a thousand words, so I thought I'd share a few snaps from our dinner there.

Where's your favorite place to eat out in London?

Spring is officially here and with the emerging sun and flowers so too emerges those bright, glossy spring lips a concept for me, an avid nude lipstick wearer can seem a little daunting. Bright lip glosses, in particular, would normally evoke memories of a younger self smearing glittery, Barbie pink glosses all over my lips, not a good look, as I'm sure you can imagine. However, I have been pleasantly surprised by these glosses. The one on the right is in the shade Lip Lover and is a light pink shade with a little pearly shimmer to it, the other is the shade Framboise Etoile which as the name hints to is a berry red shade both are not highly pigmented to just add a dash of colour to the lips. I'm also a great fan of the formula of these as once on it feels more like wearing a lip balm and has the moisturising qualities of one also. While personally, I find these a little intense colour wise to wear on a day to day basis, I think they would be lovely for a more formal event as the bright colours and dewy finish add a little pop of colour and hint of gloss to anyone's make-up.

What's your favourite Lip Gloss?

With February seeming to have flown past and spring now upon us it's finally time to put those dark berry reds shades away and dust off our pastel and nude polishes. One that I'm particularly looking forward to wearing throughout these spring and summer months is the Chanel Nail Colour in the shade Rose Cache. It's light, rosy pink shade is, in my view, perfect for a daily polish and gives a bit of shine and colour to nails without being too much. I've found the formula itself to be really good as easy to apply and lasts a good few days without chipping. At just under £20 I accept that it is pretty pricey for a nail polish but, would make a lovely gift, with the beautiful colour and gorgeous packaging is enough to make anyone feel indulged.

Whats your favorite nail polish?

(P.S. Excuse the excess of floral photos but the flowers were too pretty to resist putting in)
